    Description

Ban Phan Pond (สระน้ำบ้านพาน) is a small pond located in the Tambon Khamin sub-district, just down the road a short way after you turn from Highway 22 North onto Route 2033 West in the direction of Wat Tham Kham. It's a fine example of Sakon Nakhon's efforts to upgrade the spaces around small reservoirs and village ponds to create parks in which to relax and enjoy nature.

The park around Ban Phan Pond was recently created to include a paved road around the pond with several attractive pagodas in which to escape the sun and have a picnic or cool drink. At the edge of the park, next to the main road, you'll see a series of spirit houses which honor the village's ancestors.

If you are in this area, we would recommend visiting Wat Pa Wiwek Chanthraram, which is just a kilometer down the road (Route 2033) and has some charming things to see, as well as the Satit Ket Kaew Udom Dharma Practice Center which is only another 800 meters down the road.
