Description
Sunday Morning Home & Cafe is a charming, little coffeehouse and bakery, located about 3km from the Wat Ban Nong Sai Khao temple. The signage on the wall at the outside entrance says Sunday Morning Kafé, and if you are driving a car there is area to park inside (even though it doesn't look like there is from the street).
We went during the holidays and were happy to see a Christmas tree. But what made us even more happy was to see carrot cake offered. This is only the 2nd establishment where we have seen carrot cake in Sakon Nakhon, the other place being Ban Fa Prong restaurant, which is just down the street from the Big C in the center of town, and the only place where you can get eggs Benedict.
In addition to carrot cake, Sunday Morning Home & Cafe also offers some nice brownies, chocolate cake, and cheesecake (strawberry and blueberry), although the cheesecake is sometimes sold out. They also have the typical tea and coffee drinks available, but you can order them with a sweetness to suit your taste on a scale of 0% - 15% - 25% - 50% - 100%. We don't recommend the 100% sweet level unless you've got a crazy sweet tooth.
