Pad Thai Pha Lek (เล็กผัดไทย) is one of the two best places in Sakon Nakhon to order a quick Pad Thai, the other place being Go Go Pad Thai (โกโก้ผัดไทย). Which one is better? It is too close to call. Both are excellent. One of the main differences between the two shops is that Go Go Pad Thai also sells a great Moo Satay. If you are looking to sit down and eat, there is more room to do so at Pad Thai Pha Lek. However, most customers order their Pad Thai for takeaway.
Pad Thai Pha Lek is located between Sa Phang Thong Lake and Suan Somdet Phrasinakarin Park on the road that leads to the large Sakon Nakhon regional hospital. In fact, you'll often see nurses here ordering Pad Thai takeout. If you are visiting one of these parks, then dropping by for a tasty Pad Thai is very convenient. One thing to remember when ordering Pad Thai, the "a" in Pad sounds like the "a" in father and not the "a" in cat. And if you want to order the large size, say Pad Thai Pee-set!
