If you enjoy the arts, music, and great food, then you'll want to be in downtown Sakon Nakhon from Dec. 9th - 12th. Local government officials and businesses have gotten together to celebrate the 1st ever Sakon Junction street fair, celebrating the creative arts. The arts festival will be held near and around the famous local temple Wat Phra That Choeng Chum, in the old downtown area of the city.
Sakon Junction festivities are split into 7 areas of interest:
1) Junction Walk - A scenic walk around the old town of Sakon Nakhon, so as know the important routes in the old city of Sakon Nakhon, and the way of life of its people.
2) Junction Gallery - A painting exhibition that celebrates the citizens of the old town area of Sakon Nakhon, and their passions and interests.
3) Junction Design Showcase - An art exhibition that shows designs and prototype products that use local materials creatively.
4) Junction Market - A creative arts market selling handmade products and organic products made locally.
5) Junction Eats - Taste and learn about the local food culture of Sakon Nakhon.
6) Junction Music - Listen to creative music, mixing the vibes of local, traditional music with contemporary music.
7) Junction Activity - Creative activities that will make you fall in love with Sakon Nakhon.
