Description
"The World Through a Child's Eye" art exhibition is being held through July 31st (2022) at the Thongthawapee Art Gallery (หอศิลป์ทองทวาปี มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏสกลนคร), which is located on the campus of Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University. The children's art exhibition has been curated by local artist Airatda Mahachai and sponsored in part by the Local Art Space at Blue Bica Coffee. It is the 2nd children's art exhibition to be curated by Khun Airatda, the last one being a number years ago.
At the art exhibition you'll find paintings from what looks to be Sakon Nakhon children of all ages, with some particularly beautiful paintings with a Modernist touch, ones where you can see the influence of such legendary painters as Picasso and Rothko. There are also playful paintings of childhood imagining and several inspired by the Sakon Nakhon landscape and natural world. The gallery is open daily from 9am - 5pm.
