Description
Upper Huai Sai Reservoir #1 (อ่างเก็บน้ำห้วยทรายตอนบน-หนื่ง) is located 1.9 km past Wat Phu Danhang (วัดภูดานฮัง) on the way to Nam Dtok Kam Maak Fai waterfalls. You will rarely see anyone there, so it is a great place to enjoy a quiet picnic with family and friends, quietly meditate on the deep questions of life, or take a nature walk around the lake and visit with the grazing cows or water buffalo.
This reservoir is one of three Upper Huai Sai reservoirs. The main (lower) reservoir features a 14 km solar lit bike path and is one of the nicest places to walk, ride, or take a jog in Sakon Nakhon. You can check out that one here: Huai Sai Reservoir.
