Thai Cure for Arthritis, Back Pain & Muscle Aches

Are you looking for a cure for arthritis, back pain, or muscle aches of any kind in Thailand? There is a Thai herbal remedy for pain relief that you should know about. It can be found in the homes of probably hundreds of thousands of Thais throughout the Kingdom. This cure for pain is called Siang Pure Oil, and it’s available at most pharmacies, as well as 7-11 shops.

Many people call Siang Pure Oil a miracle cure when it comes to relieving pain. And we must say that whenever we have given it to someone visiting us in Thailand, they have said it works like magic and bought several bottles to take home with them.

Siang Pure Oil was first created by a Chinese herbalist named Dr. Ruenthai Boonmee in the 1930s. Dr. Boonmee was originally from China and had migrated to Thailand, where he established a traditional Chinese medicine clinic. He created Siang Pure Oil as a natural remedy to relieve pain and discomfort for his patients.

The word “Siang” in the product name is a transliteration of the Chinese word “Xiang,” which means fragrant or aromatic. The name refers to the oil’s pleasant and soothing aroma, which comes from a blend of natural herbs and essential oils such as camphor, clove, and peppermint.

Siang Pure Oil is commonly sold in tiny 3 ml bottles for about 25 baht.

There are two variations: Formula I and Formula II. Formula I is the original amber colored version of the oil with an intense herbal aroma. It contains a blend of menthol, peppermint oil, camphor, cinnamon oil, and clove oil. It is primarily used for relieving muscle aches and pains, as well as for soothing headaches and dizziness.

Formula II, on the other hand, is a milder, crystal clear version, which has a more refreshing aroma and less viscosity. It has the same ingredients, but in different percentages. Some people prefer the feel of this version when applied to the skin and like the less intense aroma compared with Formula I. Both Formulas are used to treat back pain and muscle aches. However, many people in Thailand say that they prefer Formula I as a treatment for arthritis pain.

Siang Pure Oil is sold in 3 ml and 7ml bottles (at a price of approx. 22 and 45 baht), as just a tiny bit of this Thai pain relief medicine goes a long way.
