Description
If you are making a pilgrimage to visit Wat Pa Udom Somphon, be sure to stop by Triple 4 Café for a coffee break with pastries or dessert. This charming little cafe, with the classic red sedan parked outside, is one of Phanna Nikhom's most popular coffeehouses.
Triple 4 Café serves the usual coffee drinks (iced and hot), as well as various Thai-style options, such as Black Butterfly Pea tea, Matcha Green Tea espresso, and Americano Orange or Strawberry coffee. They also offer Thai, Brazilian, and Ethiaopian oat milk, and other drinks.
The sweets include some delicious blueberry or strawberry cheesecake, and if you're feeling peckish, a nicely done bacon/cheese or almond croissant. Other cakes and desserts vary, depending on the week.
Triple 4 Café is operated by a friendly and attentive owner, who speaks English and welcomes foreigners to pay a visit. As one can sees by the vintage car and bicycle stationed outside, she appreciates classic motifs, and inside the nicely designed cafe you'll find a beautiful old rotary phone on the counter and minimalist decorations.
As mentioned, the Triple 4 Café is only about a kilometer down the road from the Ajarn Fun Acharo Museum at Wat Pa Udom Somphon, and about 40 minutes from Sakon Nakhon City. The inside is air-conditioned and the menu is reasonably priced, with coffee and tea drinks averaging around 60 baht and a hot-baked croissant around 90 baht.
