Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University Graduation Ceremony
The ceremony will take place at the Maha Vajiralongkorn Auditorium of Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University. The reason the graduation ceremony is held at SNRU is because the Maha Vajiralongkorn Auditorium is one of the largest and most beautiful auditoriums in Northeastern Thailand.
Graduation tents are now being built for each faculty of the Rajabhat Universities (which are similar in status and history to State Universities in the USA). Walking the university grounds, you’ll see Buddhist and Hindu statues (just as you do Thailand’s temples and some official government offices). There are also other sculptures related to university life and Thai culture, including one humorous statue of a monkey with its hands over its ears, reminding students of the kind of person that they should not be.
The Northeastern Thailand Rajabhat Graduation Ceremony (พิธีพระราชทานปริญญาบัตรราชภัฏ มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏ เขตภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ สกลนคร) will be held from September 17th -26th. The reason the ceremony is so long is that the Covid situation has delayed the graduation ceremony of recent years. Thus there are many more students who are being handed their diploma from . The handing out of the diploma will occur from 10am – 2pm each day. It is suggested that you don’t travel anywhere near Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University during this period due to traffic jams.
At the roundabout in the center of Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University, you’ll see a stream of banners for all of the Rajabhat Universities in Northeastern Thailand. These include the following:
