Studio Café is known as a "chic" city coffee shop where you can bring your laptop, relax, and get some quality work done on a hot Sakon Nakhon day. However, the coffee house is rather hidden and easy to miss! In fact, we must have passed it dozens of times before knowing it existed! This is in fact a good thing, because the coffee shop tends to attract a good, local clientele who are "in the know" when it comes to Sakon Nakhon's best coffee shops, of which there are many.
Studio Café is one of the few city coffee houses that also sells beer. When we have been there recently, it seemed like they were only selling the popular Leo and Chang beers. However, on display in the book cases where several uncommon beers like "Espresso Stout" and Taiwan Beer, which leads us to believe that they occasionally have interesting beer offerings.
Studio Café has the usual hot and cold coffee and tea offerings of a Thailand coffee shop. They also have baked deserts (when they are not sold out). The interior is simple but stylish, including perfect lighting that is not too bright or dark. A small Koi fish pond is just outside the window next to the sofas, which adds to the tranquil atmosphere.
The cafe is located just 400 meters down the road from the Sakon Nakhon center city Pizza Company location. It is easy to walk by, if you aren't paying attention, but the colorful Spiderman statue next door will alert you if you do.
